Welcome to the Resilience
+ Resistance Collective!
We are a team of researchers at the University of Michigan School of Public Health who work together to conduct community-engaged research, develop and implement interventions, and evaluate programs.
We work locally in Washtenaw County and Metro Detroit, nationally in cities across the United States, and globally in Eastern and Southern Africa.
Our mission is to improve health and
well-being among LGBTQ+ populations by working with and for local communities through research and practice. We value working in partnerships that are equitable, build capacity, promote social justice, and support community resilience and resistance.
