Trans Sistas of Color Project

The Trans Sistas of Color Project (TSoCP) was founded in Detroit, in 2015, as a result of a sudden rise in murders to transgender and gender non-conforming peoples. The TSoCP organizes trans-centric programming, events, and workshops aimed at women of color in the Detroit and Metro Detroit area. The TSoCP promotes and encourages trans activism and advocacy, uplifting the members of the trans community.

Nuii Waav Brotherhood Collaboration

Nuii Waav Brotherhood is a community-based organization serving trans-masculine people of color in the Detroit Metropolitan Area (DMA). Through our partnership we engage in collaborative public health research and capacity building activities rooted in community-based participatory research and participatory action research principles. We have a strong focus on equitable engagement, community strengths and resources, promotion of co-learning and empowerment, and dissemination of findings back to the community.
